and for the last 30+ years, I have litigated various types of liability claims on behalf of businesses in all types of matters. Since I opened my own firm ten years ago, I handled many disputes on behalf of small businesses and soon realized that many of these disputes could have been avoided had the clients sought legal help from the start. Recognizing the many challenges that entrepreneurs and small business owners face when starting or managing a business, it is not uncommon to see that legal help is typically at the bottom of the priority list; that is, until they find themselves in a dispute or worse yet, a lawsuit. The worst part is when they realize that the cost of proactively protecting their business is pennies compared to the cost of resolving a dispute, especially when litigation is involved.
